I'm a Blogger!!

            My first blog post!!  How cool…and exciting...and scary!!  Now what should I talk about?!  Where do I start?!

Hmmm, well let me start by telling you why I decided to start a blog.  Up to this point I have been a very good follower; a follower of other’s blogs and other people’s geniusness on Pinterest.  People and their creativity blow me away!! There are times I’m sitting at my computer, pinning and reading away, when I actually start to feel guilty that I am gaining so much knowledge and inspiration off of other people…for free!  It just seems wrong sometimes, like it’s too good to be true.  Except that, it is that good and it is true! Awesome!!

For instance, this past Christmas I made these hanging towels as gifts for family and friends. 

I love making homemade gifts, and this was my favorite gift I have ever given!  I hope those that received them love using them as much as I loved making them!  However, I never would have come up with this idea on my own, at least not at this point in my life.  My mind is a bit occupied by other things these days (notice “The Sweetest Stinker” section on right).  Honestly, I probably wouldn’t even own a sewing machine if it wasn’t for Pinterest!  But I’m sooo glad I do, and I’m also so very grateful for those that are willing to put themselves and their ideas out there for people like me to read and be inspired by!  It is as if the blogging world is this ginormous gathering of super intelligent, creative, funny, inspiring people from across the WORLD who I have access to at all times.  Nifty!

So why do I want to blog?? Good question!

Do I have the time for this… prooobably not, but I can find time!

Do I have the abilities to blog… we will soon find out!!

Will I be able to share some of my ideas and inspire others… I sure hope so!!!

Will it help keep me accountable… you betcha ya!! (had to add a little bit of my Northerness!)

Will it be super fun…oh yeah!!

I think it is my time to join in on this exchange and share my ideas, or rather my version of other’s ideas that I’m continuously stealing!  There’s bound to be a few originals scattered in there somewhere though…I hope.

So, from recipes to kid’s activities to home organization/décor to random thought, I plan to share with you all how we run our home and live our lives, all in hopes to give back to this blogging community that has so enriched my life.  Happy reading ya’ll!! (and there’s the Southerness for ya!)
